Ok, since my Son has tons of allergies and we have been to the doctors, she has given us this advice... Take your pillows and "heat " them up in the dryer for 30 minutes...(kills the bugs that live on your skin that munches and does strange things). Also, wash your bedding once a week. Get rid of BIRDS!! (Worst thing for anyone with allergies or asthma!). If possible, get rid of all carpets..(lots of dustmites and all kinds of critters lurking in there). If you dont, then vacumn once a day with a vacumn cleaner with a hepa filter-- >Best thing to get is a whole house vacumn system, (it can be put in for 400 bucks or a bit more, but worth it), as it exhausts the dust OUTSIDE and you never have to worry about putting it back into the carpets and air. Dust once a week, including fan blades. Get an electronic air cleaner either for the room, or whole house, as it takes out 99% pollen and pollution from the house. Keep pets away from children that have allergies, or to a minimum. vaporizors will only "feed " allergens, as it puts moisture in the house and is a candidate for mold, (unless you regulate the humidity level at 40% or less). Same as humidifiers, dont run them unless your child cant breathe, then put it near the crib only. I wish you well.. Jesse |
