Homemade Vaporizer

Question: Would this homemade vaporizer work??????

Ok so a couple of days ago me and two friends bought half an ounce of bud and smoked almost all of it and with the left overs we took a soda can and cut it in half then took the bottom half and put the bud in it then put a little bit of water in it. we took the can and set it on a stove burner turned it on low and when it started "vaporizing " we took a straw and sucked up the "vapor ". we were already so baked we dont know if it got us more high or what. do u think it would work

If you want to make a homemade vaporizer, type "homemade vaporizer " into youtube and there are quite a few videos on how to make one out of a lightbulb that work really really well. Anyway, I'm pretty sure if you were sucking the vapors through a straw out in the open it really wouldn't have any effect.
